NLP SINGAPORE – WHAT IS WORSE THAN DEATH?

Posted by on May 5, 2011 in Inspirational Stories | 2 comments

Dear Friends

Whenever I conduct NLP Training, there will always be a small group of who will asked me about how I felt and how I managed when I was diagnosed with cancer previously. Well, it wasn’t easy. Not only for me but my love ones too. In my opinion, is there anything more frightening than death? Yes, it’s not watching your love ones die, but watching your love ones live ……. but they don’t remember you. As I am typing this, there will  be some people out there, somewhere out there, despite having financial, physical and mental challenges, you are and still taking care of your love ones …. who suffered from dementia.

This Korean Movie titled ‘A Moment To Remember’ reminded me how to treasure the love ones around us when I still remember them:

Do you know what the leading actress meant by ‘heaven’ when she asked ‘Is this heaven?’

NLP SINGAPORE – ACHIEVING THE IMPOSSIBLE – THINK POSSIBLE

Posted by on Apr 21, 2011 in Inspirational Stories |

Hi Friends

10 years ago, if you were to tell your friends that one day, anyone can goes to outer space, they will tell you that you are crazy. Well, they are absolutely right. Only Astronuats can go to space. Then came along a crazy fellow by the name of Sir Richard Branson, who broke all limiting beliefs that it can’t be done. He did what the world thought it was impossible. He founded Virgin Galactic (http://www.virgingalactic.com) and send any human to outer space ……… of course if you can afford US$200,000. Watch his video below:

Then he recently unveiled his new venture  into the deepest part of the ocean – Virgin Oceanic (http://www.virginoceanic.com/). He is really the only one man, one man that I know who take MASSIVE ACTION to BREAK all limits and limiting beliefs of the human kind. Watch his video about Virgin Oceanic below:

I simply love this crazy guy!

NLP SINGAPORE – DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO COMPLAIN?

Posted by on Mar 23, 2011 in Inspirational Stories |

Hi Friends

A few days ago, on my way to my office, I walked past a young lady in a wheel chair. She is probably in her mid-20s and she was selling tissue papers. It’s quite common that you will encounter old woman/man selling tissue papers in hawker centres, interchanges, etc. I took a quick glance at her and we made a brief eye contact. She wore glasses, a simple pastel-coloured dress and looked extremely skinny for her age. I continued walking thinking ……. After about 30m past this lady, for some unknown reason, I just felt that I should do something for her. I walked back to her and told her that I wanted a pack of tissue. She asked me whether do I want the wet tissue or the dry type. I told her that I wanted the wet tissue and asked her how much is it. She told me “A dollar’. I took out a dollar coin and wanted to pass to her but I found that she has slight problems moving her hands. Eventually, she took out a little pouch and wanted me to drop the coin inside. I did. She looked up at me, smiled said politely “Thanks. Have a nice day”. I replied “You too” and smiled back. I am not very sure how many packets of tissue she is able to sell. But I just felt that she is a strong lady, making her own living, smiling despite her disabilities and how others may looked at her.

Let me share with you a video about a armless pianist:

Looking at these people, ask yourself this question: “Is there anything you want to complain about your life?”

NLP SINGAPORE – DO YOU KNOW WHAT ARE YOU LIVING FOR?

Posted by on Feb 28, 2011 in Inspirational Stories |

Hi Friends

During my NLP Training last Sunday, one of my trainee told me a story and the story goes like this – there was this man who wanted to climb up a flight of stairs with 100 steps with a door up at the top. He carries with him the key to open the door, and a few important baggage with him. As he started his journey up the stairs, he gets more and more tired. After 20 steps up, he decided to drop a baggage as it was too heavy though it was important. He continued his journey up. After a flight of 40 steps, he dropped his next baggage as it was too heavy though it was important. He continued his journey. After a flight of 60 steps, he dropped his LAST baggage as it was too heavy though it was important. He gets more tired. When he reached the 80th step, he realised that he has left the key, the MOST IMPORTANT item needed to open the door, right at the bottom of the staircase. But it was too late to back down there to take the key as the time left was not enough.

Pease ask yourself this question – have you left your Dreams behind and have you drop your Dreams along the way in your life as you grow older?

Just to share a real life story about how 5 Taiwanese, with an average age of 81, still hang on to their dream and making their dreams come true. Watch this video:

The real video of their journey is in this video:

NLP SINGAPORE – MY STORY

Posted by on Jan 27, 2011 in Inspirational Stories |

Hi Friends

A Blogger who previously attended my NLP Workshop wanted to share some parts of my life with her readers. The following are some of her answers and my reply.

Happy Reading and hope that it inspires you.

1) Why did you choose this profession and what do you love most about what you do?

I have always loved teaching as a teenager because I simply could not stop talking once I started (just kidding about the part where I could not stop talking). It all started when I need to make some pocket money during my high school days and I started with the only skill I had – to give tuition. I continued with this part-time through Junior College, army days and my undergraduate days in National University of Singapore (NUS).

It wasn’t pure passion at first. I just needed money to survive especially during my undergraduate days because I had absolutely no money to pay for my food, not to mention my tuition fees. What I did was that I took a loan from DBS and POSB to take care of my 4 years of studies, then studied full-time and worked part-time to take care of my food, books, bus fare, etc. Life went downhill when my father passed away during my 3rd year. Subsequently, my mother was diagnosed with terminal stage lung cancer when I was in my honours year (ie. 4th year). The series of episodes taught me the importance of life and money. It prompted me to ask myself this question – is it possible to live our dreams doing what we absolutely love and don’t have to worry about money at the same time? The answer came when I came across NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) accidentally during my undergraduate days.

Yeap, the dots connected later on – to train (since I love teaching), flexibility of time (to spend time with family and do charity work) & unlimited income (I have been working previously as an employee for 10 years). I took the leap of faith, quit my last job as an Assistant Vice President of a listed company, and started my company Mind Kinesis Management International LLP (http://www.mindkinesis.com & https://nlp1.myguaranteedseo.com) and recently started Mind Kinesis Value Investing Academy at (http://www.investment-in-stocks.com). The 2 main focus of my company now is to train NLP Tools and Value Investing Methodologies so that people can live the life that they have always wanted.

What do I love most about my profession? I HAVE 100% CONTROL OVER MY LIFE. We spend more than 1/3 of our life working for someone, with the remaining 1/3 sleeping and the last 1/3 doing what is supposedly important. Since we need to work anyway, why don’t we use this 1/3 of our life to fulfill our dreams instead of other people’s dreams?

2) What is your mission in Life?

I like this question – it’s  “To Motivate and Empower People to Reach their Destiny”. I have this personal mission printed on my name cards and my company’s website.

3) You’ve built up your business and co-authored a book. What’s next?

Paiseh! I felt that I have not built up my business yet. Long way to go. In terms of long-term focus, the business will expand from NLP and Value Investing to US Property Investing (in which I already own properties), Entrepreneurship and Publishing. In terms of publishing, more books will be coming for sure including personal development kits. My company has already published what I called a ‘Success Journal’, the only journal with a system incorporating NLP tools to systematize how one should manage their time to reach their goals. That’s good enough for me. Don’t have to be super-rich like Bill Gates to make me happy. Most IMPORTANT thing is to spend more time with family. That’s more important to me than making too much money.

4) What are some of Life’s lessons that you would want to share with your daughter as she is growing up?

Just ONE KEY LESSON, an extract of Steve Job’s 2005 Commencement Speech in Stanford University – “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice, heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

Well, I have just survived Renal Cancer this year.  (Read my story in Straits Times at https://nlp1.myguaranteedseo.com/inspiration-story/a-story-about-death-to-share-a-story-about-life). Never assume that we are going to live until 70, 80, etc. We only have ONE lifetime on this planet, do what is truly IMPORTANT to us and live the life that we have always wanted, not what other people expect of us.

5) What is one memorable experience you’ve had with helping a client find his/her purpose and mission in Life?

There were many. One of them is that one lady participant quit her job as an engineer and brought forward her 10-year-later dream of working with children in a learning centre. Now, she works in a Learning Centre teaching children as well as working as a Real Estate Agent. The key thing is that she is absolutely happy with what she is doing now. For every batch of my NLP Class, there will be at least one participant who will quit to do something else that will make them happier. If you have a dream to fulfil, why wait until tomorrow? “Screw It, Let’s Do It” ~ Sir Richard Branson.

NLP 101 – WINNERS PAY THE PRICE OF SUCCESS

Posted by on Jan 17, 2011 in Inspirational Stories |

Hi Friends

Happy NEW Year to all of you and welcome to a Great Monday where all of you move towards your Dreams and Goals again.

Just to share after training more than 15,000 people and conducting hundreds of personal development workshops, a common observation among participants is that most of them are focus on their carreer and wanting to increase their income. However, most wanted to get-rich-quick and not driven to put in EXTRA HARDWORK in addition to the amount of time that they are spending. Even though there are some shortcuts to success such as having a mentor, attending courses, modelling other successful people, etc., all these shortcuts still require addition effort on one’s part. That’s when having a CLEAR GOAL and keeping yourself in a MOTIVATED and PEAK STATE is important to keep you moving forward.

Do read today’s Straits Times (under Life’s Section) on Foodcourt King, Mr Pang Lim, how he started his business from being a dishwasher. In addition, pls also read about how a dynamic friend of mine, Ms Rachel Wong, who grew from a teen hairdresser to the BOSS of an engineering firm at http://tinyurl.com/6293×93. Rachel’s full story is also featured in my book ‘Do you have what it takes to be BOSS?’ (see Book Cover Below).

There was a quote that I have read somewhere which goes like this: ‘There is NO elevator to SUCESS, you will have to take the STAIRS’.

Talk to me at my workshop this Friday at by attending our Free NLP Workshop NOW!
